This week The People’s Pharmacy, a syndicated radio show in the United States, broadcast a program titled The Nature of Consciousness which featured interviews with three of the world’s leading NDE researchers: Dr. Bruce Greyson, Dr. Sam Parnia, and Dr. Melvin Morse. These were wonderful interviews that would be of interest to listeners who know little about NDE research as well as those who are well versed in the subject.
The discussions ranged far and wide, including a detailed description of the Human Consciousness Project, known as the AWARE study that was announced at a UN symposium last September (http://www.mindbodysymposium.com/). This is the largest prospective study of NDEs and out-of-body experiences ever undertaken and involves 25 medical centers worldwide. In addition, Melvin Morse offers a delightful description of children’s NDEs and how they differ from adults*.
